Stay curious. Be kind.
WorldNiche is for learning about people and places. A cultural discovery is a starting point for a conversation, not a claim that everyone in a country thinks, lives, or behaves the same way.
These rules apply to profile names, photos, invitations, and other information you contribute to WorldNiche.
What belongs here
- Use a name and photo you have permission to share. A nickname or symbol is welcome.
- Respect other people's privacy. Do not impersonate someone or post their personal information without permission.
- No harassment, hate, threats, scams, spam, or repeated unwanted invitations.
- No sexual exploitation, nonconsensual intimate imagery, explicit sexual material, or graphic violence.
- Do not share illegal content or material that infringes someone else's rights.
Profiles are reviewed before sharing
New profile names and photos stay private while we review them against these guidelines. Until a change is approved, friends see your previous approved profile or the Explorer name and a symbol. Links and invisible formatting in names are rejected automatically. A symbol is always available.
If a change is declined, the app explains that you need to choose another name or photo. You can contact support to ask us to review a decision. Reports are reviewed separately, and we can remove content or pause an account's sharing and invitations.
You control your connections
From a friend's profile you can remove, block, or report an account. Blocking prevents further connections with that account through invitations. Reporting submits the concern for review; it is not a substitute for blocking.
You can also turn exploration sharing off and revoke unused invitations in Profile → Settings.
Raise a concern
Use the in-app report action or email boutayeb.reda@icloud.com with the profile name, reason, and relevant details. Reports are not shown to the reported account. Avoid including unrelated personal information.
Content or accounts that violate these guidelines may be removed or restricted. For a question about a restriction or a mistaken report, use the same contact. Reports help identify problems that need attention.
If a cultural article is inaccurate or misleading, send its country and source title to boutayeb.reda@icloud.com. Sources and AI-generated observations can be wrong. Please follow the original source for context.
